Job Summary

Job Title: Oracle cloud DBA 15 years experience

Location: Austin TX - Hybrid- Local candidates Only

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Perform advanced database administration for complex enterprise applications with large-scale data models workflows and reporting systems
Install configure upgrade and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases ensuring high availability reliability and performance
Lead migration of on-premises Oracle databases to cloud platforms (Oracle / AWS) including decoupling BLOB storage into Azure Blob Storage
Design implement and maintain logical and physical data models relational database structures and data architecture standards
Monitor database performance analyze bottlenecks and implement performance tuning strategies to optimize processing and storage efficiency
Develop and manage database jobs transitioning legacy batch/cron jobs to Oracle Database Jobs for workflow automation
Administer Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and integration across systems
Implement and manage backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity
Perform benchmarking threshold testing and capacity planning for enterprise databases
Create and maintain test database environments including libraries and procedures for application teams
Ensure database security access control and compliance with enterprise standards and policies
Maintain data dictionary enforce data standards ensure data integrity and minimize redundancy across systems
Evaluate and incorporate user requests for new data elements and system enhancements into existing database environments
Provide technical support and guidance to developers analysts and end users regarding database usage and performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of database changes on applications systems and operational costs
Assist in selection installation and configuration of database management tools and technologies
Develop and maintain technical and functional design documentation aligned with SDLC and Agile (Scrum) methodologies
Work within multi-tier architectures including SOA Microservices and 3-tier application environments
Support ETL processes and data integration into Azure SQL and cloud-based systems
Ensure compliance with EIR Accessibility standards including support for assistive technologies and accessible database interfaces
Provide support for reporting tools including Power BI environments and report development
Participate in DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines version control (Git) and automated deployment processes
Ensure database systems align with enterprise architecture standards governance and security policies
Support cloud-based full-stack Java applications hosted on Azure/AWS platforms
Perform database recovery operations and troubleshoot hardware/software failures within established procedures
Assist in defining and improving database security disaster recovery procedures and system resilience
Experience in database administration
Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience in database design analysis and performance tuning
Experience in enterprise application development and architecture
Experience with SDLC and Agile (Scrum) methodologies
Experience in multi-tier architectures (SOA Microservices 3-Tier systems)
Strong knowledge of database structures data modeling and database theories
Strong understanding of computer programming systems design and data processing techniques
Experience with ETL processes and Azure SQL integration
Experience with large-scale high-availability and disaster recovery database environments
Experience migrating on-prem databases to cloud (Azure preferred)
Experience with Azure cloud services and database modernization
Experience with Power BI configuration and reporting
Experience with DevOps tools CI/CD pipelines and Git
Azure and/or DBA certifications preferred

Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
