Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: $65-70/hr on W2

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design develop and maintain high-quality APIs in support of a web application. This role requires strong hands-on experience with modern JVM frameworks collaboration with senior developers and working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable scalable secure and testable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain Java BFF services using Quarkus delivering secure high-performance production-ready code
Design and implement REST APIs to support frontend applications
Develop data access layers using Hibernate/JPA (ORM) with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
Collaborate with tech leads peers and cross-functional teams
Ensure code quality through pull requests (PRs) testing and best practices
Apply security best practices in daily development
Contribute to cloud-native deployments using Kubernetes on AWS
Troubleshoot and resolve production and performance issues
Continuously improve system reliability

Required Qualifications

7 years of Java development experience
Strong expertise in Java (Java 8) Spring and Spring Boot
Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL Oracle SQL Server
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
Experience with containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes)

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to frontend technologies such as React or Angular
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot Quarkus Micronaut
