Job Summary:

The Director is a Registered Nurse Manager that is responsible for overseeing the planning organizing and administration of patient care within the scope of his/her training and expertise for his/her assigned unit. The Director collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care is delivered as well as achievement of desired patient outcomes is met. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Tennessee. The Director supervises Clinical Supervisors Registered Nurses Licensed Practical Nurses Patient Care Technicians Nursing Secretaries and all other employees within the department. The Director is responsible to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Director complies with the nursing leadership standards set forth by the facility.

Hours of Position:

Full-time Days

The successful candidate will have 5 years of acute clinical RN experience and a minimum of 2 years of clinical management experience.
