Health and Social Care Teacher Permanent Role Basildon

Location: Basildon Essex
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Basildon is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teacher to join their growing team from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to lead engaging lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5 supporting students who are passionate about careers in health care and public service sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring and high-quality Health & Social Care lessons to KS4/KS5

  • Plan assess and differentiate effectively to meet a range of learner needs

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the wider life of the department

  • Support student progression and achievement towards BTEC and/or vocational qualifications

What Were Looking For:

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification (PGCE Cert Ed or equivalent)

  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care at GCSE and/or A-Level/BTEC

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A positive student-centred approach and a desire to make an impact
