Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Services in Northampton PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control monitor entry activity and support security-related operations through visible presence and strong communication. This role offers the opportunity to interact with employees and visitors verify credentials and provide customer-focused service while contributing to a caring agile and integrity-driven team environment.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors drivers and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures access control protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points for a logistics and distribution location verify credentials and/or delivery documentation and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access by screening arrivals maintaining visitor and contractor records issuing passes as directed and communicating entry requirements clearly.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter observing loading areas parking areas gates and other assigned posts for unusual or security-related activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
