Job Summary
Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides districtwide consultation and direct support in all areas of behavior management. The BCBA is responsible for providing professional level Applied Behavioral Analysis services to schools and students through Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan development implementation and monitoring. This includes coordinating developing and monitoring the implementation of behavioral services in applied behavior analysis through direct coaching in-service training and site-based consultation with school administration staff and parents.

Responsibilities:
Provides professional level Applied Behavioral Analysis services to students through Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plan development implementation and monitoring.
Provides in-service training coaching and support to staff regarding principles of applied behavioral analysis.
Coordinates develops and monitors behavioral services throughout the district.
Assists with providing professional learning to ensure that Positive Behavior Supports are implemented in alignment with district priorities.
Provides input to schools and district personnel regarding procedures developed to address students behavioral needs.
Maintains training in positive behavioral strategies used to prevent and deescalate behavior by attending refresher courses within a designated timeframe.
Provides supervision of select Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA) and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) candidates to support efficient and thorough information gathering intervention implementation integrity monitoring data recording and related practices.
Coordinates activities with district supervisors and administrators to develop systems to prevent behaviors that lead to suspension and/or restraint.
Assists with the development and delivery of professional learning/training and on-going assistance as determined by the supervisor assistant director and/or general director.
Performs any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred. Degree or formal training in appropriate content area required.
Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in the field of applied behavior analysis required or is a BCaBA who completed an ABA internship with HCPS. Experience as a mental health clinician preferred. Experience in related management or supervisory role preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctorate (BCBA-D) or BCaBA who completed an ABA internship with HCPS. BCaBA would be required to complete their BCBA certification within 12 months of effective hire date.
Language Skills: Reads and interprets general business and professional journals technical procedures or regulations. Writes reports correspondence and manuals. Effectively presents and responds to questions from managers and the public.
Mathematical Skills: Applies advanced math concepts and math operations to such tasks as frequency distribution determination of test reliability and validity correlation techniques and sampling theory.
Reasoning Ability: Applies principles of logical thinking to wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deals with nonverbal symbolism (formulas equations etc.) and abstract and concrete variables in the most difficult phases.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires:
Traveling to various school sites work locations and/or community organizations throughout the district.
Timely completion of billing Medicaid paperwork.
SUPERVISORY EXPECTATIONS: Provides support supervision and management of assigned Registered Behavior Technicians and Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts. May be required to supervise interns.
