Finance Country Manager
Job Summary
Overview
Element is looking for a Finance Country Manager.
The candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of guaranteeing the quality and efficiency of the administrative-financial department while supporting the Management in the economic fiscal financial and legal governance system of the company.
Place of work will be at Element Materials Technology Milan Srl in Crema remote work up to 2 days a week possible.
Responsibilities
- Manage audit and statutory accounts process and ensure compliance with other mandatory local regulations
- Maintain and evolve the financial control environment implement robust and scalable processes to ensure strong internal controls are in place
- Support preparation of budget and forecast planning
- Support capital expenditure in both preparation of business cases along with tracking expenditureand financial returns
- Keep control of progress on testing projects to allow for correct periodical revenue recognition
- Support the clusters finance business partner on finance tasks for branches in Germany and the Netherlands
- Lead local period end close processes and deliver accurate and meaningful monthly reports andmanagement information to support the cluster management team
- Cashflow forecasting
- Ad hoc assignments to support finance teams and wider business divisional strategy
- Supervision of accounting entries including invoice postings and general ledger activities with support to GBD team (GL accounting and Accounts Payable)
- Supervise a team of three administrative resources (procurement and invoicing)
Skills / Qualifications
- Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement through analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills including Excel and other accounting packages experience with MS D365 F&O and OneStream is a plus
- Qualified Accountant
- An emotionally intelligent professional with interpersonal skill and highly developed influencing and communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate credibility and proven success in driving improvements as a value added partner
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Occasional travel required
Background & Experience:
- Experience with working within multi-national businesses
- Experience working within a company that has Business/Shared services where accounting activities are performed centrally
