Primary purpose: Review structural plans and compile a material list for structures. Assist with receiving.
Some duties and responsibilities include:
- Review structural plans and read blueprints
- Create and compile product lists for building projects
- Enter material lists into the software system and price them accordingly
- Assist with warranty and/or service-related issues including paperwork
- Interact with customers and team mates in a friendly helpful manner
- Assist in receiving shipments
Requirements
Required
- Some understanding of the components associated with the structure of a home
- Ability to look at a 2-dimensional drawing and yet see the 3-dimensional structure
- Capable of managing time well enough to get tasks done quickly and productively
- Recognize problems and assist in suggesting and executing solutions
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize tasks be patient with distractions and manage time effectively
- Willing to be versatile understand and follow directions
- Must be able to lift heavy windows and assist in receiving windows
Strongly Preferred:
- Basic understanding of blueprints
- Past involvement in the building industry
