Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a WO / MAcr (Any Profession) to serve as RAF LEAD Regional Advisor at RAF High Wycombe on Additional Duties Commitment (120) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of being not before 29 July 2026.

The RAF LEAD programme is a voluntary 12-month accelerated development scheme for ORs across the organisation who are displaying exceptionally high leadership potential. The RAF LEAD Regional Advisor plays a pivotal post providing advice and guidance to the Stn RAF LEAD Champions sharing best practice and providing a first level of governance on behalf of the RAF LEAD Programme Manager based at RAF High Wycombe. The successful incumbent can base themselves from their home address but they will be expected to visit all RAF Units including non RAF oTLB Units where RAF Personnel are undertaking RAF LEAD. This is an interesting role requiring a high level of people skills and a passion for developing enlisted aviators.

Responsibilities of the post include:

Conduct visits to RAF Units to provide clear advice and guidance to Station RAF LEAD Champions on the effective delivery of RAF LEAD.
Deliver briefings and presentations to Station personnel on RAF LEAD and the Leadership Talent Marker.
Share best practice insights and lessons learned with Station LEAD Champions and the RAF LEAD Programme Manager.
Provide an initial level of governance and assurance for the RAF LEAD programme.
Work directly with the RAF LEAD Co-ord FS producing structured visit reports to enable effective feedback and inform supporting actions. This will include identifying emerging trends areas of good practice and areas requiring development.
During station visits engage where possible with Unit Senior Leadership Teams (SLT) RAF LEAD Champions and programme participants.
Complete a Regional WO RAF LEAD visit report following each visit using the designated electronic reporting system.
Maintain a primary focus on:
o Supporting and guiding RAF LEAD Champions
o Ensuring participants are appropriately supported
o Ensuring RAF LEAD is accurately consistently and effectively communicated within each unit or section
