Fit Ship Operator
2nd Shift
The opportunity:
Hitachi Energy in Alamo TN is hiring a Fitship Operator to prepare condenser bushings for shipment. You will package and crate bushings complete required labels and paperwork and safely operate material-handling equipment to move finished product to the correct staging location.
How youll make an impact:
Cross train on all Fitship tasks and rotate between job duties to meet daily production needs and provide team coverage.
Prepare shipping labels and complete required documentation. Use drawings and work instructions when needed.
Plug and sticker bushings. Remove oil buckets as required before packing.
Build terminals as needed and gather lower support parts (e.g. corona shields bolting collars).
Set up boxes and crates for packing. Cut plastic bags to length and load plastic wrap onto the rack as needed.
Operate a screw gun run the crane and use a forklift to gather boxes and move packed product.
Ensure orders are packaged staged and placed in the appropriate lot/location.
Complete required SAP transactions to key off boxed/packed orders.
Maintain a clean organized work area (5S) and follow all safety and quality requirements.
Provide information and support to Engineering Purchasing Customer Service and Shipping as needed.
Continuously train on new equipment and new processes based on business needs and assignments.
Your background:
High school diploma or GED
Manufacturing packaging or shipping experience preferred
