The Warehouse Lead Operator serves as an extension of management. The primary function is to train employees assist with task supervision and production execution. The Warehouse Lead Operator would also be expected to perform all the duties of Warehouse Worker as well as serve as immediate backup to the Site Leader as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives stores and distributes material tools equipment and products within establishments by performing the following duties:
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size type style color or product code.
- Fills requisitions work orders or requests for materials tools chemicals or other stock items. Opens bales crates and other containers.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Drives forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to loading dock.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Performs basic quality testing and inspections of materials and products to ensure compliance with company specifications and quality standards.
- Supports laboratory-related tasks including sample handling basic testing procedures documentation and maintaining a clean and organized lab environment as required.

- High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training related to supply chain logistics or business administration preferred
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse manufacturing or other industrial industry work experience required
- Supervisory experience highly preferred
- Chemical warehouse operations experience preferred
- Must have basic computer skills including the ability to use warehouse management systems data entry applications and electronic records to accurately document inventory quality and operational activities.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills required
- Inventory management experience highly preferred
- Procurement experience preferred
- Must be proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook Excel and Word
- Engage effectively with senior management project teams and key functional teams
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Must be willing and able to work outside year-round under various weather conditions.
- Must be capable of climbing lifting 50 pounds working in a confined space and from elevated platforms and able to wear appropriate protective equipment.
- Must be highly safety conscientious aware strong attention to detail including the ability to react quickly.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Works well in group problem solving situations.
