Job Summary
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Business Finance or a related field.
5 years of experience in engineering logistics or finance
Experience with accruals invoicing and data management
Strong analytical and financial skills including forecasting and market modeling.
Proficiency with data tools dashboards or analytics platforms; experience partnering with Digital/IT teams is beneficial.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface across multiple functions and seniority levels.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving market environment.

Job Overview:
The South Region Energy Analyst supports the South Region Energy Director and the LGUS Natural Gas Originator by managing billing accruals and analytical activities. This role oversees accruals and invoice processing; supports contracting efforts with Legal and external consultants; and delivers timely reporting and insights to senior leadership. The Analyst collaborates closely with Product Management Regional Management and external partners and works with Digital teams to develop tools that help manage the regions natural gas and power portfolios as well as customer slates.
Other Duties Include:
Monitor analyze and interpret U.S. natural gas market trends pipelines pricing structures and regional supply/demand fundamentals.
Provide deep market insights specific to Texas and Louisiana including ERCOT power markets and Gulf Coast energy dynamics.
Support the South Region Energy Director and Natural Gas Originator with market analysis commercial evaluations and portfolio management.
Manage energy-related accruals validate invoices and ensure accurate financial tracking.
Work with Legal and third-party consultants on contracting regulatory matters and commercial agreements.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management summarizing market conditions commercial exposure and risk considerations.
Collaborate with Product Management and Regional Management to align energy cost forecasts with commercial strategy.
Partner with Digital teams to develop tools and dashboards for tracking natural gas and power books customer slates and contract positions.
Maintain strong external relationships with consultants suppliers and market intelligence sources.
Serve as an internal subject matter resource for South Region energy market activity.
Scope:
Commercial Influence: Supports energy-related commercial decisions across Regional Management Product Management and LGUS.
Portfolio Impact: Provides analysis and tooling essential for managing natural gas and power exposures in the South Region.
Contracts & Governance: Key contributor in contracting workflows and invoice accuracy.
Cross-Functional Support: Regular interaction with Legal Consultants Product Management Digital and Regional Leadership.
