Evening Custodian Part Time
Position Summary:
Performs essential custodial functions to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned office buildings in the evenings. This role contributes to the mission of ARC of the Treasure Coast Inc. by maintaining safe clean environments while maximizing opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to become more independent.
Supervision:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations
Essential Job Functions:
Sweeps and mops all vinyl and ceramic tile floors; cleans baseboards.
Empties cleans and relines waste baskets and sanitary containers.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms including toilets urinals sinks stalls partitions fixtures and replenishes supplies as necessary.
Cleans offices hallways and storage areas as assigned.
Cleans walls ceilings light fixtures vents blinds and other surfaces as required.
Picks up trash and litter around entrances walkways and surrounding exterior areas.
Cleans lobby/foyer areas including water fountains benches bulletin boards and other surfaces.
Maintains awareness of proper safety procedures and uses appropriate personal protective equipment.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as required or assigned.
Other Duties May Include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate by words and actions a commitment to the ARC of the Treasure Coasts mission to assist individuals with disabilities and other barriers to become self-sufficient working members of the community.
Attend and participate in meetings or trainings as directed maintaining knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
Follow all safety protocols and ensure safe working conditions; maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Knowledge of:
Proper use of custodial tools equipment and cleaning agents
Safety and infection control practices
Basic sanitation standards
Ability to:
Perform essential custodial functions reliably
Work independently during evening hours
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Follow instructions and safety protocols
Education and Experience
Minimum Criteria:
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
Custodial or janitorial experience helpful but training will be provided
Working Hours: Part-time evening shifts
