The opportunity
As a Parks Maintenance Team Member youll play a hands on role in keeping our parks gardens and open spaces looking their best for the community. Working outdoors as part of a supportive team youll take on a variety of horticultural and maintenance tasks including mowing garden care and maintaining park assets. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work taking pride in quality workmanship and making a create welcoming spaces for people to enjoy every day in their local area.
What youll be doing
- Carrying out horticultural and parks maintenance to a high standard
- Maintaining park assets including playgrounds furniture and paths
- Operating and maintaining plant machinery and equipment safely
- Completing safety checks JSAs and following Council procedures
- Supporting the team and providing friendly customer focused service
What youll need to succeed
- Qualification or experience in horticulture or parks maintenance
- Experience using and maintaining plant machinery and equipment
- Ability to safely perform physical outdoor manual work
- Knowledge of workplace safety JSAs and safe work practices
- Strong teamwork skills with a customer focused approach
