We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Instructional Coach to join our early elementary this role you will be a vital partner to our educators building teacher capacity through a deep understanding of early childhood best practices and curriculum.
Your mission is to foster high-quality developmentally appropriate instruction that directly improves student outcomes and creates a supportive environment for staff. By empowering our teachers you will help ensure our youngest learners have the strongest possible start to their academic journey.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Valid TX teaching certificate with required endorsements/training for subject & level assigned
- At least 3 years of teaching experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Establish and maintain open communication with campus leadership about any concerns
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues students parents and community members
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly
- Ability to utilize computer software and interpret computer printout data especially testing data
- Assist AP in creating and implementing school systems
- Comply with state district and school regulations and policies
- Ability to model and foster Rapoport Academy Core Values
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Teacher Support
- Collaborate with teachers to promote high-quality and rigorous instruction
- Conduct targeted coaching/feedback cycles as directed by Campus Leadership
- Participate in individual/team meetings and provide feedback strategies and support to ensure alignment
- Provide content-specific resources to promote differentiated and student-centered instruction
- Research and share best practices for teaching and learning
- Provide appropriately aligned targeted and tiered professional development opportunities
- Ensure fidelity of curriculum implementation
- Support campus leaders in onboarding of new staff
- Support teachers in implementation of plans for students in special populations
Data Analysis and Assessment
- Collect analyze interpret and support responses to student/staff data
- Ensure effective implementation of formative and summative assessments that drive instructional decisions
- Assist teachers in identifying data trends and next steps for targeted instruction
- Support teachers in the process of developing and implementing student growth measures
- Assist with state and local testing administration
Other Duties
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law State Board of Education rule and local board policies and procedures. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations
- Adhere to legal ethical and professional standards including current professional standards of competence and practice
- Facilitate parent involvement activities during academic-focused events
- Assist with campus duties and initiatives as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

Coaching of assigned teachers

While performing the duties of this job the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Occasional district-wide travel to multiple campuses as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand kneel squat bend stoop push pull and twist. The employee must occasionally lift or carry (less than 15 pounds). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Requires considerable close-up work with computer video displays.
