The Student Activity Fund (SAF) / Bookkeeper Trainer Technician is responsible for assessing operational needs and designing developing and delivering a comprehensive bookkeeper training program. This includes the creation and maintenance of training materials tutorials procedural documentation and learning resources such as online modules and user guides. The Technician conducts and oversees all bookkeeper-related training to ensure consistency clarity and alignment with division financial procedures and required accounting systems.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts frequent on-site reviews of Student Activity Fund records transactions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy compliance and audit readiness
- Actively supports schools in maintaining continuous in compliance status by reinforcing proper procedures internal controls documentation standards and corrective actions
- Provides direct operational support and technical assistance to school bookkeepers regarding Student Activity Fund procedures financial processes and compliance requirements
- Delivers in-person training structured workshops and individualized coaching primarily at school locations
- Trains all newly hired bookkeepers across elementary middle and high school levels ensuring consistent application of division financial practices
- Provides training and assistance to district-level bookkeepers related to Munis functions and financial processes
- Supports and reinforces proper use of financial systems including the Munis financial management system and related platforms
- Assists schools with financial documentation record preparation and procedural compliance necessary for internal and external audits
- Develops maintains and updates training materials procedural guides and reference resources aligned with current regulations and division expectations
- Coordinates onboarding activities and training schedules for new bookkeepers
- Communicates procedural updates compliance guidance and operational information to appropriate staff
- Maintains records related to training activities site visits compliance monitoring and support services
- May provide temporary coverage or assistance during Student Activity Fund bookkeeper absences or vacancies

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Business Accounting Education or a related field -OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Recent and successful experience in bookkeeping school finance training or related work
Preferred
- Five (5) years of experience in Accounts Payable Bookkeeping or related field.
- Experience with Munis School Funds/Cash Online or comparable financial systems
