Our Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) division provides products and services that optimize energy production and processing. We help a wide range of customers along the value chain reduce operating costs and improve productivity. Our team is focused on developing and creating the future of energy technology products.
The candidate will be responsible for performing turning operations on vertical CNC lathes for components of various Baker Hughes product types following applicable technical specifications product drawings and the manufacturing process. All activities must be performed in compliance with the safety and quality standards defined by the company for the areas of expertise. This position is offered on a permanent basis.

As a workshop operator you will be responsible for:
- During turning and inspection activities the operator will complete item inspection plans identify materials and perform preliminary inspections of parts in accordance with applicable specifications
- During machining and inspection activities the operator will be responsible for maintaining the workstation and ensuring compliance with production line management rules
- The operator will be asked to suggest improvements to their activities in accordance with the companys continuous improvement program
- They will participate in weekly discussions on safety and quality issues within their team (Safety & Quality Talk).
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a high school diploma (preferably a Mechanical Engineer)
- Have proven experience operating CNC vertical lathes
- Demonstrate knowledge of Baker Hughes products Knowledge of CNC turning Be available to work shifts (including weekends if necessary)
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret drawings/technical specifications Be proficient in using precision measuring tools Be computer literate (Excel Word email etc.)
- Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility
- Demonstrate good attention to detail.
