Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Huntsville AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location as an armed patrol officer conducting routine rounds and remaining highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control respond to alarms and/or unusual activity and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and our agile reliable and innovative team you will act with integrity while working together in a caring culture that puts people first.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings production areas parking lots and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Control access at entrances and restricted areas by checking identification verifying authorizations screening visitors and/or contractors and directing traffic and deliveries per site requirements.
- Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports maintain required armed post qualifications and handle issued equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site directives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
