Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Metro Patrol Driver in Homestead FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. Working with a team that is agile reliable and innovative you will put people first and act with integrity while supporting daily operations.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors staff and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials visitor activity and/or restricted area entry in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
- Support government facility operations by reporting hazards suspicious behavior maintenance concerns and/or policy violations and following established escalation procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- Handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton are preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
