Job Description Summary
The Program Sourcing Manager (PSM) will play a critical role in driving sourcing execution and supplier coordination across multiple high-visibility avionics programs. This role ensures consistent sourcing processes on-time delivery of program milestones and alignment between supplier readiness and program schedules.
The PSM will act as the key sourcing interface for all project activities working closely with the Commodity Leader suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence mitigate risks and ensure supplier performance.
The PSM will also contribute to GE Aerospaces strategic goals by supporting the overall commodity strategy driving cost-out initiatives and fostering supplier relationships in alignment with GE Aerospaces Behaviors: Respect for People Continuous Improvement and Customer Driven.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the sourcing focal pointfor assigned programs specifically the MHDD redesign programs and potential supplier risk reduction/transition leading day-to-day engagement with suppliers and cross-functional teams (Engineering Program Management Quality and Operations).
- Foster strong partnerships with relevant commodity managers (specifically Aftermarket Complex Subs Avionics and Machining).
- Implement and enforce standardized rules of engagementbetween sourcing and suppliers across all project teams to ensure consistent communication expectations and performance tracking.
- Drive supplier qualification schedule adherence and material readinessin alignment with project milestones and customer requirements.
- Manage sourcing deliverablesfor NPIs refresh programs and resourcing initiatives.
- Monitor key supplier KPIsand proactively drive recovery plans when performance deviates.
- Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risksassociated with obsolescence capacity and qualification readiness.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategiesto ensure uninterrupted supply and program success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams(Program Managers Commodity Leaders and Supplier Quality Engineers) to ensure sourcing activities support both tactical project needs and strategic business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliersto drive performance innovation and alignment with GE Aerospaces values.
- Contribute to process simplification supplier relationship improvement and cost-out initiativesacross the avionics sourcing scope.
- Drive continuous improvementin sourcing processes to enhance efficiency reduce cycle times and improve overall program outcomes.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute program-specific sourcing strategies:Tailor sourcing strategies to meet the unique requirements of each program while ensuring alignment with the overall commodity strategy.
- Track and report on program sourcing deliverables:Ensure on-time completion of key milestones such as supplier qualification first article inspection and production ramp-up.
- Manage program sourcing budgets:Monitor and control program-specific sourcing budgets ensuring cost targets are met and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Conduct supplier readiness reviews:Regularly assess supplier readiness to meet program requirements including capacity capability and timeline adherence.
- Consolidate and report sourcing performance data:Provide regular updates to leadership on progress risks and opportunities across all programs.
- Represent sourcing in program reviews:Act as the primary sourcing representative providing updates on supplier performance risks and mitigation plans.
- Standardize sourcing processes:Implement consistent sourcing processes across all programs to ensure efficiency and alignment with FLIGHDESK
- Drive supplier development:Collaborate with suppliers to improve their capabilities and capacity to meet GE Aerospaces long-term strategic goals.
- Resolve supplier-related issues:Lead resolution of supplier-related issues impacting program schedules including quality concerns delivery delays and capacity constraints.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Engineering Business and/or related experience.
- Significant experience in manufacturing operations sourcing or project management

- Experience in electronics or avionics sourcing preferred but not essential.
