Working location: Bristol Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
We have an exciting opening for a Digital and IT Partner to join our Digital and IT team. The Digital & IT Partner acts as the single point of accountability for business technology outcomes within the Partnering Domains. This role moves beyond reactive support serving as a trusted advisor who ensures that D&IT strategies are closely aligned with business objectives. By leveraging the 7 Pillars of Partnering (Innovation Service & Risk Management Value Enablement Portfolio Management Digital Strategy Communication & Engagement and Delivery) the Partner proactively enables business value drives operational efficiency and strengthens collaboration across the organisation.

Moving towards a simpler cleaner more aligned product structure which empowers the businesses within a framework that drives innovation greater control and risk mitigation.
This role you will give you the opportunity to build a strategic partnership with senior levels in the organization both within the Defence business and the Digital and IT function building and influencing the business Digital and IT strategy to meet the goals of the Defence business. Youll help establish a roadmap of future capability development that is then prioritized sponsoredinvested in anddelivered enhancing business performance.
What you will be doing:
Enhanced Strategic Alignment and Collaboration - Accountable for managing strategic digital relationships across the business and Digital and IT to ensure relevancy and performance for the business (cost delivery SLAs etc). Working with business stakeholders and product mangers to understand and develop business strategy requirements and processes and translate those into clear value propositions and requirements for digital capability while ensuring the Digital and IT strategies support the business goals.
Enhanced Business Agility - Ensure digital roadmaps remain relevant and associated multiyear investment plans are in place to unlock digital value and maintain business continuity
Increased Cost Transparency and Control - Ensure that total cost of ownership for digital capabilities is clear and decisions taken consider through life investment commitments and digital capabilities deliver business benefits to time cost and quality - with appropriate sponsorship governance and escalations in place across the Business teams and Digital and IT
Optimised Service Delivery - Ensure that IT services remain appropriate and relevant within your area of accountability. Assuring they are run to the agreed service levels risks are visible and retirement of non-relevant services are planned
Value Enablement & Innovation - Be an advocate for innovation end user experience and promote digital culture by being a champion for Digital change within RR a voice into Digital and IT and sharing opportunities to enable the business using existing tools and future roadmaps
Reduced Risk and Improved Security: Proactively identify IT risks ensure compliance and safeguard data systems and operations.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
A Bachelors degree with related experience; OR A Masters degree with related experience
Experience of working with business leaders on the development of business strategy and the ability to translate into roadmaps and deliverables (Digital and IT experience an advantage)
Strong proven relationship & stakeholder management at a senior level
Customer excellence including strong communicating & influencing skills
Experience in problem solving & and understanding of the broader business context (business acumen)
Experience of managing a range of projects or programmes
IT functional knowledge and leadership (ITIL TOGAF awareness an advantage)
Experience and understanding of Engineering an advantage
Experience of working in or knowledge of the Defence sector
Candidates should be highly numerate with strong technical and analytical skills problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking including personal drive excellent communication and presentation skills and will need to contribute effectively in a team environment
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.
