Job Summary
Job Purpose and DutiesReporting to the Controller the Cost Accountant provides financial and analytical support to the plant management. The successful candidate will ensure data integrity of the plants production and financial reporting in accordance with established corporate standards and requirements and will also play a key role in cost forecasting controls and the development and continuous improvement of financial procedures and processes in both the Finance and Operations is a fixedterm contract role due to a temporary degree in Accounting or FinanceCertified Professional Accounting Designation or nearing completionAbility to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 4 or more years of related experienceExperience with the standard costing processMust be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysisExcellent problem-solving ability attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to research compile analyze and interpret dataGood written verbal communication and collaborative skillsProficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office productsAbility to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reservesAbility to work independently under minimal supervisionKnowledge JDE system preferredABOUT USSofina Foods is committed to Employment Equity and maintaining a diverse workforce.
