Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills experience in telemetry monitoring and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical and telemetry units
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
- Perform IV insertion and lab draws
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Key Requirements:
- Active New York RN License (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years)
- Experience working in similar size or Level 1 / Level 2 trauma hospitals
- Ability to start IVs draw labs and monitor telemetry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epic EMR experience
- Prior experience in high-acuity or trauma hospital settings
