Role Overview

This role offers the opportunity to join the FP&A Finance Transformation (Future of Finance) team supporting the implementation of a new forecasting and budgeting system across GM International Markets.

The position operates in a complex multi-country environment coordinating FP&A transformation activities across approximately 40 countries grouped into 5 regions and working closely with local FP&A teams and the Global Finance Transformation organization.

Key Responsibilities

In this role the Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the deployment of new FP&A tools processes and methodologies ensuring alignment with business needs across GM international markets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the implementation of Finance Transformation tools across GMI international markets.

  • Act as a key liaison between local FP&A teams and the Global Finance Transformation team.

  • Support the design and deployment of future-state forecast and budget processes and methodologies.

  • Ensure FP&A processes and system solutions adequately address the needs of diverse international markets.

  • Provide training and ongoing support to FP&A teams on new systems and tools.

  • Support system testing calculation validation and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Assist in preparing and delivering presentations on Finance Transformation initiatives to senior leadership.

  • Coordinate communication timelines and alignment among countries and regional FP&A teams.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to financial planning forecasting accuracy and automation.

Qualifications Skills & Behaviours

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance Economics Engineering or related fields.

  • Advanced or fluent English

Professional Skills

  • Solid background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

  • Experience or strong exposure to finance transformation initiatives system implementations or process redesign.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret different market dynamics.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.

Behavioural & Leadership Competencies

  • Strong collaboration and coordination skills to work with teams across multiple countries and cultures.

  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different levels of seniority.

  • Confidence and professionalism to represent GM International Markets in discussions with senior stakeholders.

  • Proactive and hands-on mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive change.

  • Passion for transformation innovation and continuous improvement in finance processes and systems.

  • Creative problem-solving approach to address complex and ambiguous challenges.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with FP&A systems forecasting tools or ERP/EPM platforms.

  • Exposure to global or regional finance organizations.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

  • Experience working in multinational or matrixed organizations.
