Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a PCBA Process Engineer located in Austin TX.

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the PCBA Process Engineer is in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and optimize SMT processes including printing placement reflow AOI/SPI.
  • Troubleshoot defects and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Support NPI builds DFM reviews and process validation.
  • Maintain process documentation and establish process controls (SPC DOE).
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure stable line performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/6σ tools.

The experience were looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 25 years SMT process engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of SMT equipment and IPC standards (IPC A 610 J STD 001).
  • Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with equipment such as ASM DEK/MPM BTU/Heller/Kurtz Ersa Koh Young Nordson.
  • Lean Six Sigma or IPC certification.
