Commercial Analyst

General Information:

Title: Commercial Analyst

Status: Full-time; Exempt

Location/Site: Corporate Office

Hours: Monday Friday possible weekends

Reports to: Director of Business Intelligence

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Travel Requirements: Non

Position Overview:

WaterFleet is seeking a Commercial Analyst to support business development and project execution efforts through the preparation of bids proposals and commercial analyses. This role works closely with engineering operations and leadership to develop competitive technically sound and financially robust solutions for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Proposal & Bid Development
    • Prepare and support RFQs RFPs and bid packages
    • Coordinate inputs from engineering operations and leadership
    • Develop clear accurate and professional proposal documents
    • Ensure alignment with client requirements and company capabilities
  • Technical Coordination
    • Interface with engineering teams to define scope and design assumptions
    • Translate technical concepts into client-facing materials
    • Support development of project scopes and execution plans
  • Commercial & Economic Analysis
    • Develop financial models to evaluate project economics
    • Support pricing strategy cost estimation and margin analysis
    • Assist in structuring commercial terms and identifying risks
  • Market & Strategic Support
    • Conduct market and competitive analysis
    • Support opportunity evaluation and business development strategy
    • Track proposal pipeline and key deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance Economics Business or related field
  • 26 years of relevant experience
  • Valid US drivers license and strong driving safety record (no more than 2 moving violations in previous 3 years).
  • Acceptable background check clear of DWI convictions for the last 5 years.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between department(s)

Qualifications:

  • Experience in energy infrastructure or industrial services
  • Familiarity with bid and proposal processes
  • Experience with project economics or cost estimation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work across technical and commercial teams
  • Proactive and self-driven
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
