Business Process Engineering is a cross-asset multidisciplinary team within Engineering CIB whose goal is the transformation and optimization of operational processes focusing on three main objectives: improving customer experience increasing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
We are seeking to incorporate a new team member into the BPE CIB Europe team committed to participating in process transformation projects with a high impact on CIB business productivity improvements or initiatives that address relevant operational risks for CIB operations.
As part of these initiatives you will have the opportunity to collaborate and interact with different areas and stakeholders across BBVAs European branches and holding units.
About the job:
If you decide to join us your day to day would consist in:
Defining and executing Process Transformation Plans with a specific focus on those affecting BBVA Europe Branch operations.
Participating as a Process Engineer in SDA CIB projects designing and coordinating process re-engineering proposals.
Executing key process reengineering initiatives from an end-to-end perspective including conceptualization and improvement proposals based on As-Is / To-Be process analysis with a focus on process optimization and KPI definition.

Qualifications:
More than 7 years of experience in Process Management Process Engineering Consulting or Corporate & Investment Banking roles.
Proficiency in process mapping using Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) or other industry standards (e.g. ARIS) is preferred.
Proven experience leading process redesign initiatives within large transformation programs.
Ability to analyze complex organizational process and technology environments with a holistic perspective.
Advanced ability to prepare deliverables and presentations using Google Presentations and Sheets.
Experience with customer journey mapping identification of key moments of truth and definition of improvement action plans.
Knowledge of strategic organizational change management.
Experience managing initiatives from concept/intent development through implementation and realization with a strong focus on identifying and mitigating change risks.
Experience or strong knowledge in one or more financial services areas such as Wholesale Banking Global Markets Transactional Banking Lending Transaction Processing Operations or Finance Financial Risk (e.g. Bonds / Markets)..
Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance business processes including prompt engineering and building custom GPTs or Gems with platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini/NotebookLM
Languages:
English and Spanish Speaker.
French is desirable (not mandatory).
In addition knowledge in German or Italian will also be valued.
