BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Change Management Service increasingly requires high quality visual products to support corporate change initiatives senior leadership engagement governance forums and strategic organisational workstreams.
Workstreams such as WFP simplification efforts orientation and communication activities lessons learned exercises and streamlining of Duty of Care require clear compelling and visually intuitive materials to distil complex information for decision making.
To meet these needs efficiently the office seeks a When Actually Employed (WAE) CST with specialised expertise in digital visualisation PPT design strategic narrative building and the translation of complex concepts into concise visual products.
Reporting directly to the Director of the Change Management Service the incumbent will be required to provide on demand support in developing high quality visual communication materials strategic concept notes and presentations that clarify synthesise and communicate complex organisational initiatives. The consultant will also support to WFPs simplification efforts including process analysis work.
This position under would be under a Whan Actually Employed contract with a daily rate of 229.88/288.88USD for a maximum of 18 days per month from March to December 2026.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Produce digital visualisations aligned with WFP corporate style and communication standards
2. Support thematic areas such as change management processes lessons learned domains and organisational design models (as reflected in internal presentations and workshops).
3. Develop professional high impact PowerPoint decks for senior management briefings director level updates cross functional workshops and global coordination forums.
4. Support process analysis to identify tactical opportunities for simplification.
5. Support CMS activities related to WFPs simplification effort.
6. Independently produce Concept Notes and Strategy visualisations (10%).
7. Provide general support through the finalisation of organisational alignment implementation including stakeholder engagement coordination across workstreams and follow-up to ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
High quality PPT decks for senior leadership and workstreams
Visual frameworks infographics diagrams and models explaining complex information
Strategic concept notes capturing findings
Refined templates and reusable assets for future communication products
Results of process analysis identifying opportunities for simplification

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Advanced University degree in Knowledge Management Information Management International Development Communication Business Management Social Sciences Learning or other relevant fields or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Experience:
4 to 5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio demonstrating complex concept visualisation. - Ability to convert technical content and organisational processes into compelling visuals. - Excellent writing skills including drafting strategic notes and simplifying complex information. - Ability to synthesise large volumes of information into structured narratives. - Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to capture diverse viewpoints visually. - Discretion professionalism and reliability.
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English language. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
