- Organize and maintain yard materials including concrete ties equipment and tools
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles
- Operate forklifts and other machinery to move materials within the yard
- Perform routine yard maintenance such as cleaning stacking and organizing items
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Assist with other general labor tasks as needed
- Can work varied shifts with changing seasons ALL weather conditions
- Can work in a team in environment
- Secure loads on top of railcars using load binders and chains
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a yard warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
