Job Title: Network Engineer I
Location: Louisville KY (Hybrid 3 to 5 days a week onsite preferred)
Engagement: 12 mo. contract
Rate $50 to $55/hr
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer I to support daily network operations and contribute to upcoming project work. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in networking who is looking to expand their skill set and grow into a Level II engineering position. You will gain hands-on experience across both operational support and project-based work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational network support
- Perform basic troubleshooting and configuration tasks
- Support routine maintenance and documentation updates
- Escalate issues appropriately while continuing to build technical expertise
- Assist with project work including network staging/build and field deployments
Qualifications
- Understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP VLANs routing basics firewall fundamentals)
- Experience with access layer switch configuration port troubleshooting and basic connectivity issues
- Comfortable working within ticketing and change management systems
- Ability to follow established procedures with a strong willingness to learn
- Strong motivation reliability and communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Will be required to obtain NERC/CIP certification upon onboarding
