This unique role is a hybrid between serving and set up.

Ideal candidates for this role will have prior serving experience preferably in an event or fine dining setting the ability to provide exceptional service the ability to work independently and the ability to problem solve as well as maintain a calm and professional demeanor. This position has the potential to be scheduled between the hours of 6am and 11pm availability for weekends and holidays is required based on the various schedule of events.

Job Summary:

When scheduled as a Banquet Server you will provide table service to banquet and event patrons by delivering plated dishes from the kitchen to the table serving and removing flatware and dishes appropriately tidying the dining surface and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant dining experience.

When scheduled as Banquet Setup you will provide assistance to the banquet and events team to ensure set up and break downs are done in accordance with the work order for each event communicate appropriately to other departments on site and ensure that the room is ready for patrons to have an exception event experience.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

  • Ability to lift push pull 40 lbs. or more
  • Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
  • Task-driven individual who is able to focus on ensuring of the completion of each events work order.
  • Basic knowledge of AV equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a composed gracious and professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Ability to stand walk bend at waist grasp and carry for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the set up and break down process for each events work order
  • Accommodate and anticipate guests needs respond promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure proper use storage and maintenance of AV equipment and banquet room items.
  • Assists with all aspects of banquet services as needed.
  • Process and collect payments accurately adhering to all cashier procedures.
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils napkins and other needs have been provided.
  • Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.
  • Answers questions regarding the menu.
  • Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
  • Delivers food beverages condiments and other requested items to customers.
  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
  • Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
  • Prepares customers checks and collects payments.
  • Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
This position is subject to successful completion of a background check as it relates to the responsibilities of the role.
