About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to support the Decision Science function within the Credit Card organization with a primary focus on digital (thirdparty and onus) origination channels as well as branchbased originations. This role is ideal for a seasoned analytics professional with deep expertise in credit card strategy origination optimization valuation and riskbased decisioning.

You will play a critical role in shaping the credit card acquisition strategy by leveraging advanced quantitative techniques developing valuation frameworks and partnering closely with business leaders to drive datainformed decisions across digital and branch channels. In this role you will

  • You will leverage deep expertise in existing card customer strategies and advanced methodologies to develop valuation frameworks that inform strategic decisions. The role requires strong capabilities in qualitative and quantitative analysis with a solid foundation in mathematics statistics economics and financial valuation.

  • Act as an advisor to experienced leadership to develop influence and interpret analysis for monitoring and oversight of portfolio and deliver insight and decision strategies with long term goals for highly complex business analysis and modeling companywide

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring strategic advanced analytical inductive thinking and performance monitoring

  • Extract data to provide statistical and financial modeling companywide delivering solutions that are long term large scale and require vision innovation and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others

  • Provide vision direction and expertise to experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale companywide strategies

  • Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide

  • Act as an expert advisor to experienced leadership

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of Risk Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SAS for data analysis modeling and strategy development

  • Strong SQL skills with experience extracting and manipulating large complex datasets

  • History of developing and supporting credit card strategies including credit origination line increases/decreases balance transfers and product upgrades

  • Strong math and quantitative skills with experience developing and supporting statistical models

  • Expertise in financial cashflow valuation including NPV and CLV frameworks

  • Ability to develop and analyze income statements and interpret financial outcomes

  • Deep knowledge of credit card originations including digital thirdparty onus digital and branch channels

  • Handson experience with Python and SAS risk analytics predictive modeling and decisionstrategy development

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership

  • Experience collaborating with crossfunctional partners (Product Marketing Risk Decision Science etc.)

  • Graduate degree or MBA in statistics economics mathematics or a related quantitative field

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
