Job Summary
- 35 years of relevant and recent experience in audit risk management or compliance functions with a strong focus on data-driven approaches. Alternatively 3-5 years of work experience as a Data Analyst or in an equivalent role
- Strong expertise in data extraction and analytics techniques using Python (or other programming/scripting languages such as SAS R or ACL) preferably applied in audit or compliance contexts
- Expertise in Microsoft Power BI or equivalent self-service Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Qlik) covering the full process from data loading and analysis to visualization and publishing
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory. Additionally proficiency in Spanish or French is desirable
- Previous experience in Financial Services Insurance or Banking is a plus
- Prepare reports containing World-Check screening results for company names and beneficial owners/administrators when available
- Conduct negative media searches using AI-powered tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) with a focus on corruption-related issues
- Develop working papers in Excel featuring risk factor analysis aligned with Group ABC requirements
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Business Intelligence tools
- Draft formal ABC Compliance Due Diligence reports in Word format summarizing procedures performed and findings
- Contribute to process improvements and help refine due diligence methodologies.
- Scoping: Preparation of an annual plan detailing the number of reviews and the scope of controls to be tested using a risk-based approach aligned with AXA IMA priorities and risk profile
- Preparation: Notify officially the entities key stakeholders about the objective content and timing of the Compliance Control Testing review. Coordination with the entities in anticipation with the request for information with a list of materials to be shared including extraction of databases preliminary questions and calls and any other logistical preparation
- Data Analysis for Sample Selection: Collect large datasets from local management systems financial accounting records customer databases and other relevant sources to apply data techniques such as data cleaning mining and analytics. These data techniques shall help identify trends anomalies and potential compliance issues and support drawing conclusions to select the optimal data sample for an effective testing
- Sample Testing: Prepare control testing scripts to be used when requesting existing evidence from entities based on the selected data sample related to transactions such as accounting books approvals customers files product materials suppliers services third parties payments and any other relevant areas. The testing must be formally documented in control testing working papers with a sufficient audit trail to serve as evidence for assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of compliance controls and processes
- Reporting: Discuss preliminary Compliance Control Testing results with the entities to confirm their accuracy and appropriateness. Prepare a summary report upon clearance of the results outlining the scope objectives timeframe and findings of the review. Support the creation of KPI dashboards and ad hoc reports for Senior management by leveraging data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Timeframe: As an indication a Compliance Control Testing review should be completed within 68 weeks depending on the size of the entity and the complexity of the topics covered
- Frequency: As a first step it is estimated that 23 reviews could be conducted annually on demand subject to the scope of topics covered and size of each entity with flexibility to accommodate additional workload as needed
