QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have New York State permanent teacher certification inENL or BilingualandSpecial Educationor a teacher of students with speech and language disabilitieswith a bilingual extensionor a teacher of the speech and hearing handicapped with a bilingual extensionandhave 3-5 years of successful classroom experience in an urban school chairingbilingualmeetingsispreferred and those whofluently speak another languagearepreferred.It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of theircertification.Experience as a CSE Chair must have extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulationspertaining toSpecial Education and extensive knowledge of Individual Education Program development. Candidates should have experience with Frontline IEPincludingmaintainingand accessing reports and listings. Experience in customer servicetrainingand writing technical documents is preferred.
Priority in theselectionof teachers will be given to qualified permanent/tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachersin order of summer school school seniority is defined as previous years of BPS summer employment in a classroom setting. Only current and active BPS employees earn summer school seniority.
