One of the most established practices in South Wales is approaching a succession point in its audit leadership and they are handling it carefully. The Director they are now looking for will step into a senior client-facing position with a well-built portfolio already in place. The clients are there the team is performing and the Partners want someone who will grow into a long-term leadership position within the firm.
The Role
Lead a portfolio of audit clients including corporate groups owner-managed businesses and third sector organisations.
Take technical responsibility for file quality and mentor managers through complex audit areas.
Build and deepen client relationships at Board and Finance Director level.
Contribute to the firms approach to audit methodology quality and team development.
Work with senior Partners on succession and the shape of the audit team over the next three to five years.
About You
Qualified with substantial post-qualification audit experience in practice.
At Director or Senior Manager level with a genuine client portfolio and team leadership experience.
Technically strong with the confidence to lead reviews and guide managers on complex judgements.
A confident communicator at senior client level with the relationship skills to add commercial value.
