Overview

Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking an energetic and motivated individual who is ready to support the growth and continuous improvement of Cypress Creek Solutions (our operating organization) through developing insights which bridge operations and financial data and enable both short and long-term decision-making. The Business / Operations Analyst will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the O&M business including understanding customer contract terms key operational drivers of gross margin commercial levers for revenue expansion and analyzing site and customer level results to provide valuable insights to help drive EBITDA profitability. Though this role will be primarily focused on driving margin improvement for the O&M services business unit its impact will also be felt within the overall operating organizations P&L.

An effective candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical and reasoning abilities intellectual curiosity comprehensive attention to detail an ability to piece together information and think critically advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills comfort with reading and understanding written requirements (e.g. contracts) clear and concise written and oral communication skills superior organization enthusiastic initiative and problem solving skills and an ability to collaborate with others across teams.

This position will report to the Head of O&M Product and Strategy and will be located in Durham NC.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with the broader operations team develop analytical models to support decision-making for driving improvements in key metrics and KPIs: cost-to-serve labor supply & demand labor utilization etc.
Run periodic operational reports for data integrity validation and analysis to the operations and leadership teams
Analyze monthly site-level financial & operational data compared with forecast prior period results and expectations based on contracts for trends anomalies and insights
Collaborate with IT and others as needed on creating and automating decision- useful reporting
Assist with analyses needed to create and update business forecasts and to analyze results against forecasts
Assist with analyses needed to report to executive team & Board of Directors
Utilize data visualization to translate metrics for presentations
Perform other ad hoc projects as needed

Education & Experience Required

Bachelors degree in business data science engineering information systems or equivalent experience; MBA or other advanced degree valued but not required.
Experience in the energy industry preferred but not required
Strong Excel skills with exposure to large data sets and tools such as SQL Power Query Python R Tableau etc.
Meticulous organization and critical thinking skills
A strong work ethic and strict attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve
Strong Microsoft Office skillset
Highly driven and hard working with high standards for themselves and others
Knowledge of the solar industry a plus but not required
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with BI / reporting visualization tools (Tableau Excel Sigma PowerBI) a plus
Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM a plus

Location: This position will be based in Durham NC. Must be able to go into the Durham office 3x week on a hybrid schedule.
