About the Role:

The Director Policy Operational Support & Integration is a leadership role within the Pension Policy function at CAAT responsible for ensuring that Plan rules are interpreted governed and operationalized in a manner that is consistent compliant and scalable across CAAT.

Reporting to the Vice President Pension Policy this role establishes clear policy direction decision frameworks and governance practices that enable the consistent application of Plan Text and legislative requirements across complex and evolving scenarios. You will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of Plan administration by aligning policy guidance with organizational risk tolerance regulatory requirements and administrative capabilities while supporting the delivery of long-term strategic priorities.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure policy intent is effectively translated into operational delivery particularly in the context of employer onboarding plan integrations and ongoing administration within a multi-employer defined benefit environment.


As The Newest Member of Our Team Youll:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Policy Integration and Operational Support teams establishing priorities governance discipline and operating standards that enable consistent high-quality and risk-informed outcomes

  • Lead policy oversight for employer onboarding and integration activities including plan mergers and complex transitions ensuring compliance scalability and operational feasibility

  • Guide policy support for both strategic initiatives and business-as-usual operations including system enhancements automation and process modernization efforts

  • Deliver clear timely and practical policy interpretation to support pension administration and complex operational decision-making

  • Translate policy intent into sustainable administrative practices by partnering closely with operational and functional leaders across the organization

  • Identify assess and proactively manage regulatory operational and integration-related risks providing clear recommendations and escalation as needed

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Member Services Employer Services Legal Finance Technology Communications and Pension Solutions to ensure coordinated planning and execution

  • Strengthen governance and institutional knowledge by promoting clear documentation structured decision-making and continuous improvement in policy workflows

  • Oversee policy input into member and employer communications ensuring clarity accuracy and alignment with legislative and Plan requirements

  • Assess the impact of legislative regulatory and case law developments on pension administration and support effective enterprise-wide change management

  • Build and lead a high-performing team fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous learning

  • Contribute as a senior leader within Pension Policy driving alignment across policy streams and supporting broader organizational objectives

To Succeed You Bring:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in pension policy benefit administration or related field within a complex regulated environment including people leadership experience

  • Post-secondary education in business finance law actuarial science public policy or a related discipline complimented by a pension designation (e.g. CEBS PPAC) or equivalent in experience

  • Deep expertise in registered pension plans including demonstrated ability to interpret and apply pension legislation Plan Text and governing documentation in complex or non-standard scenarios

  • Proven experience supporting employer onboarding plan mergers or large-scale pension changes within a defined or multi-employer environment

  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of building developing and leading high-performing teams through periods of growth transformation or modernization

  • Demonstrated ability to establish strategic direction operational plans and performance metrics that drive continuous improvement

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and credibility

  • Experience working cross-functionally to design and implement solutions that balance compliance operational feasibility and service excellence

  • Strong analytical and judgement capabilities with the ability to assess risk navigate ambiguity and make sound defensible decisions

  • A structured and pragmatic approach to problem-solving with the ability to create clarity and alignment in a fast-paced evolving environment
