Context

Reporting to the Environmental Head and Part of a large Rail & Transit Project team Systra is looking for an Environmental Design & Approvals Senior Manager.

Missions/Main Duties

Completes the review of previously completed investigations and reporting.
Identify data gaps and commitments and Oversees development of the Investigation scope and schedule.
Lead the subject matter expert team tasked to complete Due Diligence work and reporting.
Incorporation of requirements into design.
Confirmation that requirements and commitments are executed.
Leads environmental design integration across all technical disciplines for the project corridor.
Oversees environmental approvals strategy and ensures compliance with EA commitments permits and regulatory conditions.
Coordinates with design teams construction leads and regulators to resolve environmental risks.
Responsible for environmental deliverables (including EMPs) schedules and multidisciplinary coordination.

Profile/Skills

8 - 10 years of work-related experience on projects of similar size scope and complexity to the Project;
a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in planning environmental planning geography environmental engineering or another related discipline;
knowledge of the Province of Ontarios Transit Rail Project Assessment Process GO Transit Class EA Document and Environmental Assessment Act (Ontario);
experience in successfully managing all Environmental Aspects of transit projects in the Province of Ontario;
knowledge of relevant federal and Ontario environmental policies procedures and legislation experience with implementation and management of environmental management systems that conform to ISO 14001;
Experience liaising with other specialty consultants contractors and Governmental Authorities; and
experience with similar projects in the Province of Ontario.
