Job Summary
Manufacturing Operations is accepting online applications for the position of Rigger located in the Richmond California Refinery through April 9th 2026 at 11:59 pm (Pacific Time Zone).

The qualified rigger / crane signal person will perform a variety of maintenance repair and construction type of work in the field and shop settings of the refinery requiring journey-level skill. Qualified successful candidates will perform duties such as preparing and securing loads for lifting and moving as well as communicating with the crane operator using hand signals or radio communication. inside and outside the Richmond Refinery.
Applies broad level maintenance and reliability knowledge and expertise across the full spectrum of surface facility maintenance activities including inspection troubleshooting repair and both preventative and predictive maintenance.
As a 24/7 operating refinery working overtime weekend holiday and shift work is required.

Performsregular pre-use safety inspections on equipment.
Knowledge of rigging equipment methods and procedures.
Performsbullriggingof hard-to-reach equipment.

Read understand and follow Chevron lift plans.
FollowsChevronsworkpermitting system.
Worksin Process Plant Shop and Off-Plot environments.
Teamwork Ability to work cohesively as a team both inside and outside the organization.
Responsible for the safe and economic use of resources.
Looks for and acts on opportunities to increase efficiency and reducecosts.
Ability to grasp complex issues and apply good problem-solving skills todevelop recommendationsand solutions.
Build positive working relationships with operators and other crafts both internallyandexternallyto Chevron.
Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization including Management and Supervision Technical and Engineering Operations and Maintenance.
Must be highly motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while preforming needed tasks with minimal supervision.
Flexibility - Willingness to work overtime and/or change schedules when it is a business need which may include nights weekends and holidays.
Safety Successful candidates will possess strong knowledge of safe work practices and foster a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
A current certification as a qualified rigger and crane signal person
Valid Drivers License.
Able to obtain a TWIC card.
Minimum of 2 years of recent work experience in a related industry or an Apprenticeship or
Certificate from a Trade/Technical School.
Must have strong team and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an industrial or refinery setting.
Additional certifications related to lifting and rigging.

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $54.68 USD.
