Family Medicine Provider Behavioral Health 7on/7off Block Schedule

Details
- Position type: Family Medicine Provider MD/DO or NP/PA (ages 4).
- Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital.
- Type: Full-time or part-time available.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) for patients ages 4 within 24 hours of admission follow-ups and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists psychologists therapists and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
- Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions medications and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
- Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
- Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.
Requirements
- Licensure: Alaska Physician Medical license (MD/DO) or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
- Education: Completion of an accredited medical school with Family Medicine residency training.
- Certification: Boardeligible or boardcertified in Family Medicine (for MD/DO).
- Experience: New graduates with relevant clinical training and strong interest in behavioral health will be considered.
