Job Summary
Location: Anchorage AK
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays (24-hour live-in shifts)
Pay: $250 per day
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide high-quality hands-on care for adults with intellectual disabilities. This role requires a dedicated individual who is comfortable supporting two clients simultaneously in a live-in weekend setting ensuring their safety well-being and daily needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct hands-on care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist with personal hygiene grooming toileting and mobility
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
Transport clients safely to appointments and community activities (vehicle provided)
Support social engagement and promote independence
Monitor client behavior and respond appropriately to needs or changes
Maintain a clean safe and supportive living environment
Accurately document care and communicate with the care team
Qualifications:
Required: Prior experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
Must be comfortable providing hands-on care
Ability to support and manage care for two clients at the same time
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable patient and compassionate demeanor
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work 24-hour live-in shifts on weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
Comfortable staying overnight in the clients home
Ability to lift transfer and assist clients as needed
