Job Summary

Job Title: Data Engineer - Hybrid

Duration (Contract): 2 14 Months

Client Location: Harrisburg PA 17120

Location Preference: Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Data Engineer you will lead performance management analytics and reporting initiatives by designing maintaining and enhancing data infrastructure that supports program delivery and decision making. You will integrate data from multiple sources develop scalable analytics solutions and deliver high impact dashboards and reports that ensure data accuracy transparency and alignment with organizational and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development maintenance and governance of programmatic financial geographic and performance data systems.
Design and manage data models schemas and workflows to ensure data consistency accuracy and reliability across initiatives.
Establish and document data standards definitions and quality controls for internal operations and external reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams partners IT and vendors to integrate data from multiple systems into centralized formats.
Maintain and update Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate program status performance metrics financial activity and geographic coverage.
Create and manage DAX measures and calculations to support accurate and repeatable analytics.
Write optimize and maintain SQL queries to extract transform and analyze data from enterprise systems.
Ensure analytics products are scalable repeatable and aligned with leadership and stakeholder needs.
Manage publishing access controls and lifecycle management for analytics products in accordance with data and security policies.
Support leadership in identifying performance measures and key indicators.
Produce internal and public facing reports dashboards and visualizations for decision making and accountability.
Assist with federal and state reporting requirements including compliance and outcome reporting.
Coordinate with GIS teams to align tabular data with geographic datasets.
Maintain awareness of GIS concepts and support integration of spatial outputs into dashboards and reports.
Serve as a subject matter expert for data related decisions and reporting strategies.
Prepare executive level briefings presentations and summaries for stakeholders.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

Solid experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Basic to intermediate experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
Experience with data modeling data integration and transforming diverse datasets.
Familiarity with DAX for measures and calculations within Power BI.
Strong analytical documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with varied datasets and stakeholders.
Preferred experience with DAX optimization light GIS familiarity data governance concepts or federal reporting.
Optional experience with advanced GIS advanced Power BI administration or additional programming languages.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
