Job Summary

Job Title: Business Analyst - Hybrid

Duration (Contract): 12 Months

Client Location: Lansing MI 48933

Location Preference: Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Business Analyst you will work closely with stakeholders product owners and technical teams to elicit analyze and translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions. You will support projects delivered through Agile and Hybrid methodologies ensure alignment with enterprise standards and facilitate end to end requirements management testing coordination and stakeholder communication to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure project alignment with organizational strategic plans and delivery standards.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions using Agile and traditional techniques to capture business needs and impacted processes.
Translate business requirements into clear user stories with acceptance criteria considering technical constraints and dependencies.
Collaborate with product owners to prioritize backlogs based on business value risk and dependencies.
Participate in solution design activities and contribute to enterprise architecture assessments.
Lead reviews of requirements and artifacts to ensure adherence to policies standards and guidelines.
Develop and maintain documentation including business process analyses system diagrams and data flow diagrams.
Support vendor owned and hosted solution initiatives by serving as a liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams.
Develop training content and facilitate training sessions for end users and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain test plans test cases requirement traceability matrices and validate test results.
Perform functional and regression testing and facilitate user acceptance testing.
Track defects differentiate between defects and new requirements and initiate change requests as needed.
Develop and maintain communication plans and provide project level metrics reporting.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming sprint planning demos and refinements.
Utilize work item management tools to document track and manage requirements and progress.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
Bachelors degree in a business related field such as Business Administration Information Technology Finance Marketing or similar discipline.
Strong experience working in Agile or Hybrid environments.
Proven ability to break down complex business requirements into smaller well defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
Experience supporting projects with vendor designed and hosted solutions.
Experience using work item management tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft tools including Excel PowerPoint and Visio.
Experience working with Oracle or SQL Server environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem solving abilities.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
