The Foundation is recruiting a dynamicSenior ProgrammeOfficerto help expand strengthenand innovate our TrustLaw programme in Europe and support the delivery of strategic projects in the region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Programme Manager EMENA and working closely with the regional Senior Legal Officer and (London-based) Programme Officer the Senior Programme Officer willplay a key role in supportingTrustLawscommunity of civil society organisations socialenterprisesand independent media organisations and support the team on thought leadership initiatives.
About the Role
In this opportunity as aSenior ProgrammeOfficer your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of projects designed to strengthen the resilience of civil society and independent media in the region.
Building and stewarding relationships with civil society organisations socialenterprisesand independent media organisations in theregion.
Designing and implementing strategies to expand and diversify our community of NGO and social enterprise members in theregion.
Supporting the engagement of pro-bono legal service providers in the region to strengthen TrustLaws networks in the region.
Administeringthe TrustLaw service including recruiting and vetting new members collecting feedback fielding questionsupdating databases and runningreports.
Managing pro bono requests including connecting the pro bono client with lawyers collectingfeedbackand following up with the partiesinvolved.
Contributing to the TrustLaw global annual strategy and supporting the implementation of a regional strategy to expand and activate TrustLaw membership ensuring we serve the best NGOs socialenterprisesand independent media organisations as well as the strongest law firms and corporate in-house legalteams.
Executing a robust communications engagement and outreach strategy that includes member eventspromotion of TrustLaw publications andnewsletters.
Maintaining a high profile for TrustLaw in Europe by attendingsupportingand coordinating events for TrustLaw and the Thomson Reuters Foundation including by speaking publicly on our work at panels roundtables panel discussions workshops trainingsconferencesor other speaking engagements.
Assistingwith other duties asrequiredand providingsurge capacity support.
About You
You are a fit for the role ofSenior ProgrammeOfficer if your background includes:
- 2-3 years of experience in the NGOsocialenterpriseor social impactsector;
- A good understanding of the NGOsocial enterprise and social impactsectors in Europe;
- Experience of delivering donor funded-projects and project management or co-ordination;
- A good understanding ofthe legal services sector and legal pro-bono is highlyfavourable;
- Prior experience working on issues of media freedom responsible business digital rights or human rights would be aplus;
- Experience of service delivery in the NGO sector is highlyfavourable;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability toeffectively and independently manage multiple matters and projectsin a fast-pacedenvironment;
- Excellent research drafting and analytical skills with strong attention todetail;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills able toestablishand maintain positive working relationships internally and externally with people from a wide variety of cultures andbackgrounds;
- Beingambitious dynamic andcreative;
- Experience in Salesforce would be favourable experience working with databasesessential;
- Experience organising events or trainings would befavourable;
- Fluencyin English other languages favourable (e.g. Spanish French German);
- Willingness to travel internationally; and
- Pre-existing right to work in Spain.
This is a full-time remote role based in Spain. The salary isrelativeto the local charitable sector and will becommensuratewith experience.
