We are currently seeking apart-time Dental Assistant for anopportunity at Edinburgh Correctional Facilitylocated in Edinburgh Indiana.
The Dental Assistant (Indiana) works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Essential Duties:
Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
Operating radiographic equipment
Administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
Certification in Dental Radiology required
Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred
Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Ability to obtain a security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check
Shift: 1 day per week flexible
