Summary
- To supervise facilitate and promote safe meaningful and positive Family Time sessions between children and their families. The role ensures that children in care or involved in child protection processes maintain essential relationships with their significant family members in a safe structured and child-centred environment. The post holder will safeguard children at all times and contribute to their overall care plan through high-quality observation recording and professional partnership working.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and facilitate Family Time sessions ensuring interactions are child-centred nurturing and developmentally appropriate.
- Safeguard children throughout all sessions maintaining constant awareness of risk and ensuring their physical and emotional safety.
- Deliver Family Time in a variety of locations including Family Time Centres Family Hubs community venues and family homes.
Essential Experience Required
Essential Qualifications Required
Relevant qualification in childcare social care family support or safeguarding (e.g. NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce).
Enhanced DBS check for working with children.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with Business Insurance.
Good standard of literacy and communication skills.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Working Style: Face to face / community based
- Location: 2 x Ipswich / 6 x Bury St Edmunds
- We work on a bi-weekly payment schedule
The role closes on 30th April 2026 apply ASAP.
