Context
Systra is looking for Experienced Professionals as Utilities Design Coordinators for projects in Ontario for different Utilities Services.
The Utility Coordinators play a crucial role in construction projects by managing and coordinating utility services such as water gas electricity and telecommunications. This position involves ensuring that utility installations and relocations comply with project timelines and regulatory requirements. Your ability to liaise with utility companies and contractors helps prevent delays and ensures seamless integration of utilities within the construction site.
Missions/Main Duties
TheUtilityDesignCoordinatorisresponsibleforcreatingpreciseanddetailedconstructiondrawingsanddesignsusingMicrostationandotherrelevantsoftware.Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:
Manage the coordination and scheduling of utility installations relocations and adjustments involved in construction projects.
Serve as the primary liaison between contractors utility companies and project stakeholders to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
Review construction plans and utility maps to identify potential conflicts or challenges related to underground and overhead utility services.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals from utility providers and regulatory agencies to comply with legal and safety standards.
Monitor utility work progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets minimizing delays and cost overruns.
Facilitate the integration of utility infrastructure with overall construction activities ensuring accuracy and quality in installations.
Maintain detailed records of utility coordination activities changes and agreements to provide clear documentation for audits and inspections.
Identify and mitigate risks related to utility conflicts safety hazards and regulatory compliance throughout the construction process.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering;
