Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and maintain the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications contract documents and federal standards.
- Coordinate quality control inspections testing and documentation.
- Conduct preparatory initial and follow-up inspections for definable features of work.
- Maintain quality control documentation including daily QC reports and inspection records.
- Coordinate with project managers engineers inspectors and contractors to resolve quality issues.
Design and Technical Oversight:
- Review construction drawings specifications and technical submittals for compliance.
- Verify materials installation methods and workmanship meet contract requirements.
- Ensure proper review and approval of contractor submittals prior to construction.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate resolution with project leadership.
Construction and Quality Assurance
- Oversee inspection and testing activities for civil works construction including earthwork concrete structural systems and utilities.
- Monitor contractor quality control operations and verify compliance with the approved CQC plan.
- Review laboratory testing reports inspection documentation and construction quality records.
- Track deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Project and Field Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality control matters on assigned projects.
- Participate in project meetings technical discussions and construction coordination meetings.
- Support project documentation reporting and compliance monitoring.
- Coordinate with USACE Resident Offices and project stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of construction quality control or construction management experience.
- Experience implementing quality control programs for infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction specifications inspection procedures and quality documentation.
- Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites throughout Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction projects.
- Completion of USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors training.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or related professional certification.
- Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) or federal construction management systems.
- Experience with civil works flood control infrastructure reservoirs or military construction.
