Minimum Qualifications:
Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technician from a regionally accredited school or program that is recognized by ASCP.
Eligible to take the ASCP or equivalent certification board exam as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Must pass the exam within 1 year of hire or eligible date.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
Knowledge of chemistry special chemistry hematology or immunology testing procedures.

Job Requirements:
Conduct analysis of blood urine spinal fluid body fluids and other biological samples to determine presence of normal and abnormal components in assigned section(s).
Perform quality controls or quality check materials and perform corrective action as required. Enter test results and other data related to analysis and communication of results into relevant computer information systems or other document archival systems.
Provide technical information about specimen collection sample transport sample identification required documents test methods and other related technical information to RN physicians or laboratory clients.
Use laboratory computer systems to order tests generate results generate reports document results and communications interpret results and other lab duties related to inventory testing method verifications and quality control.
The core laboratory uses multiple information systems including Microsoft Office software programs instrument specific programs automation line software and middleware programs for test interpretation server databases laboratory information system quality control programs inventory control software document control and online programs related to employee continuing education and training.
Perform other duties as needed.
