Our Hardware development team in Plymouth MI develops Camera Ultrasonic and Radar based driver assistance products.
We offer an internship (full time or part time) for 6 months or longer or a Co-Op position to support the development team in our optical lab.
- Support engineering debugging and development testing in lab and lab environment
- Performing optical performance measurements using LabVIEW
- Analyze and document the test results
- Support developing LabVIEW programs
- Support in documentation and process related tool
- Create 3D models for fixtures. Work with 3D printer.
- Support building mechanical fixtures.
- Use Digital Multimeter (DMM) oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer
Qualifications :
Required
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Mechatronic or Physics
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Good communication skills and team work spirit
- Ability to work independently and self-organized
- Understanding of electronic design and circuits
- Ability to read basic electronic schematics and wiring plans
- Good working knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel Word and Power Point
- Ability to work in a lab environment
Preferred
- Ability to work with basic electrical instruments such as multimeters oscilloscopes etc.
- Ability to use basic electrical/mechanical hand tools and using soldering irons
- Experienced in electronic design and controls
- Experienced in Python or LabVIEW. Understanding of complex scripts
- Mechanical understanding and hands-on experience
